AS you would expect from an island as large as Crete there are many things to do during your stay and whether you just want to laze around with a good book, explore the island by public transport or car visiting every archaeological site, or trying out some of our excellent beaches, then you can make your daytimes as busy or as quiet as you like!
Part of any holiday is sampling the local food and nightlife, and this too can be as busy or as quiet as you like. Our nearest village Pano (or Old), Hersonissos has a selection of bars and restaurants, or you can explore other nearby villages such as Koutouloufari, or head for the Lassithi Plateau for long lazy lunches or extended dinners!. For those less adventurous we have other restaurants that serve ‘International’ dishes as well as excellent Chinese and Italian food.
For those who like a late, late scene there are bars and clubs open until the early hours although you will be sleeping late the next day!
With our central location much of the island is within easy reach and with our experience of the island we can make suggestions of places to visit and the amount of time you will need to get there, but it is your holiday so our suggestions are just that, suggestions.

The short video to the right will give you some idea of the roads you are likely to encounter while driving on Crete, but don’t let this put you off! To see many parts of the island a rental car is essential.
