Welcome to the Villa Ralfa web site, Crete’s original gay accommodations and lodgings!
Located on the north coast of Crete, around 20km east of the main airport at Heraklion Villa Ralfa opened in 2004 as a gay owned and run private guesthouse catering for the gay and lesbian community. Unlike other hotels which purport to be ‘gay’, Villa Ralfa is more than just gay-friendly, and not just because we happened to put it in our search terms. Accommodation is strictly limited to a maximum of 6 so advanced booking is essential.
We are open all year round as we live here, and with much experience of the island we can help you plan your holiday to see as much, or as little, of Crete as you wish, and give helpful suggestions for travel to and from Crete, mainland Greece, and the other Greek islands.
Our location close to the main transport links to other parts of the island means that visitors can see many of the archaeological sites and visit some of the many famous beaches on a day trip, and for nightlife we are close to the busy resort of Port Hersonissos with its many bars and clubs, and a few minutes by car from Malia and the famous Eros Bar. For a quieter night the village of Old, or Pano, Hersonissos is within walking distance, and a little further away is the village of Koutouloufari and the well known Vinnie’s Garden Bar, run by our good friends George and Martine!
